My Story

I have been in construction since I was 16, only taking 3 years out to study mechanical engineering. I then returned to construction and I have worked my way up from labourer to managerial level within some well established construction companies. The last 10 years I have been number one on site as Site Manager and more recently in the last 5 years a Project Management role while still being partly site based. 

In 2020 I was made redundant and decided to make my own path and become a Freelance Project Manager and therefore Build Management Solutions Ltd was born. 

I am qualified with SMSTS and Advanced first aid including the newer Coronavirus regulations, along with CSCS. 

I am very experienced in the the complete construction phase from pre-construction phase planning, CDM, construction consultancy, health and safety compliance, compiling tenders, site logistics, managing contractors and clients, controlling budgets all the way through to hand over and ‘as built’ documents. 

I have successfully delivered many different projects from high end one off houses for domestic clients to industrial units for commercial clients along with projects at Hinckley Point B nuclear power station, up to a value of £5 million. 

I am based in Ilminster, Somerset but happily travel as necessary.

In my spare time I like to pursue outdoor based hobbies including sailing, rock climbing and fell running.
